Communication

                                                   COMMUNICATION

In the 1960s, one of the two closed friends living in a village had to leave the place to earn his livelihood elsewhere .He settled in another village situated in a remote area in a distant part of the country.
In those days communication system was not as advanced as the present day. So, to keep in touch with each other without any hindrance, they decided to use pigeons to carry their message like in the olden days of Maharajas and Nawabs.
Once in a month, in regular intervals, they sent and received letters from each other through their Pigeon Service. This continued without any interruption for years.
Then, there came the mobile phones in the scenario and thereby revolutionizing the communication system. Mobile service became accessible to the remote places also. But, they were so fascinated with the pigeons that they persisted with their own old faithful Pigeon Service.
One fine morning, on an unscheduled day, a pigeon arrived at the house of one of the friends. He opened the paper tied to one of the legs of the pigeon; to his utter dismay; he found the paper totally blank. He immediately sent a message to know the reason and asking whether he was alright. He received a prompt reply within a few days through the return Pigeon Service .Message on the paper read, ”Friend, it was just a MISSED CALL!”
